Touring in Gabarone, Botswana
Yesterday we had an all day tour of Gabarone, the capital city of Botswana and found out alot about this country. Botswana is not on the list for most people to travel to. And is relatively uncrowded. We visited several sites around the town and went out to a village. On top of a hill in the village there was a museum (it's in an old school) and the views were fantastic.
We were with a young woman tour guide, just me and Fiona on the tour.
For fans of the #1 Ladies Detective Agency, there were several points on the tour related to that book series. Most of the places in the books are real, and we saw many of them. The picture of Zebra Drive is significant.
We had an authentic lunch of Botswana food, kinda weird African stuff, and got to know this place better.

I thought the picture above was amusing, with the goats walking right through the middle of traffic, they obviously didn't think the stop sign applied to them!
