So much is too much - Getting Caught Up

There is so much going on lately that there hasn't been time to blog. In fact, there is so much to talk about and so much to tell, that it's too much. So I put it off and then more stuff happens and then there is even more ... and ... I know, it's a pretty lame excuse. I will attempt to chip away at what has happened in the last month since I haven't blogged anything.

So last weekend was the Jefferson Mint Festival and son in law Jake went up in a hot air balloon, and it was really cool. It was fun to watch him, and even more fun for him to go up up and away.

We had an Andando booth at the Mint Festival gathering and it went surprisingly well. Even though it's a small town mid-summer festival, we sold a lot of stuff and as a result of that, we can feed 1,000 children in Sierra Leone for a month!

Grandson Jackson was able to come to the Balloon launch despite the fact that it got going at 5:30 in the morning. Here he is with his auntie Beka.

Later that morning, we all went down to main street to watch the Mint Festival Parade. It was really good and a cut above most of the local yocal parades. There was even a mini-van with a quilt cover ... must have taken a lot of time ... but what do you do with the quilt cover? Keep the mini-van warm in the winter?

As you can see in the picture, there was a huge open trailer truck hauling a bunch of local musicians down the middle of the road, hey we know how to put on a parade ...
